Quelques nouvelles de notre globe trotter !

Tout se passe bien a Hong Kong pour Christophe. La conference "The Sixth International Conference on Physical Modelling in Geotechnics" est apparemment une course contre la montre entre les presentations, les reunions et le "networking" (terme qui engloble les relations publiques et la vente de ses idees et de ses projets - en resume : un vaste et utile echange de cartes de visite !).

La meteo sur Hong Kong a ete un peu bousculee avec un cyclone et 600 vols annules en l'espace de 2 jours !

La presentation principale de Christophe (Keynote 6: C. Gaudin (Australia)) etait intitulee “New insights from model tests of foundation and anchoring systems in offshore geomechanics” et a ete bien accueillie. Ses autres presentations etaient reparties sur les 3 jours de la conference.

De notre cote...

Nous sommes alles voir "over the edge" (= derriere la haie) au cinema ("nos voisins les hommes" sur les ecrans francais) et on a bien rigole.

On a moins rigole quand on a trouve une grosse araignee dans le bureau. Je suis allee chercher le voisin pour qu'il m'aide a l'attraper ! Ben l'a trouvee jolie et voulait absolument la montrer a ses copains a l'ecole... Il lui a meme donne un nom : Bobby !

Heureusement, apres recherche, elle n'est pas dangereuse, c'est une Huntsman Spider.
